2009-11-17 - Credit Unions of PEI Honored by PEI Chapter of the Children's Wish Foundation
Credit Unions of Prince Edward Island are proud to receive a Children’s Wish Foundation Appreciation Award. In celebration of their 25th anniversary, Credit Unions of Prince Edward Island was chosen to receive one of 25 awards recognizing individuals, companies and community groups who have contributed to the success of the Children’s Wish Foundation on Prince Edward Island.
PEI Credit Unions have been involved with the PEI Chapter of the Children’s Wish Foundation for over a decade through the Credit Union Golf for Wishes tournament, held annually in early September. The Credit Union Golf for Wishes tournament brought together golfers from around the Maritimes who wanted to make a difference in the lives of Children with life threatening illnesses.
PEI Credit Unions have formed a terrific partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation over the past eleven years. That relationship has been fostered through the great people involved in the Credit Union Golf For Wishes initiative from both organizations and it is truly a demonstration of two organizations with similar goals and visions who come together to make things happen.
